Brigadier General Melaku Shiferaw, one of Ethiopia’s
military officers who recently attended anti-terrorism conference in the United
States sought political asylum.
A few days ago, the Voice of America, had reported that the
Head of Protocol of Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, Baye Tadesse
Teferi, has sought asylum in the US after attending UN General Assembly in
August 2017.
